Les Miserables San Jose Theatre reviews
This Is Not The Broadway Les Miserables!
I have seen Les Miserables twice before seeing this version at the fox. I am a musician and am very familiar with the music for this production and the tempos at which the songs should be delivered. This version of the show was rushed, the actors were pushing the tunes out so fast that it was hard to get true feeling from alot of the performance. I was not a fan of Javer in this production, his deliveries for the most part were ok. Stars lacked color. Jean val Jean delivered a great version of Bring Him Home but Who Am I was rushed. The innkeeper role which is a comic highlight was flat compared with previous actors. I was disapointed in the shortening of this gem but happy that others still get to see this wonderful musical.
